Europe captain Padraig Harrington has chosen Robert Karlsson as his for next year’s Ryder Cup in Wisconsin.
Karlsson continues after assisting Thomas Bjorn as Europe overcome the USA 17 to recover the prize in Paris.
“Anyone involved in 2018 would have seen that as a no-brainer pick,” said Harrington, 48.
“He is very logical, quite straight, he doesn’t let the emotions become involved.”
Karlsson created two appearances as a participant, enjoying at the beat at Valhalla in 2008 and helping Europe to victory at the K Club in 2006.
“It’s excellent,” said the Swede.
“Padraig requested me some time back and I am actually looking forward to this procedure and being a part of a group again and assisting Padraig across the way”
The 2020 Ryder Cup will be played at Whistling Straits Golf Club at Wisconsin, United States from 25-27 September 2020.
